“He pointed fingers at everyone else but himself”- Dan Orlovsky rips Zach Wilson after a disastrous performance against the Patriots

There is no denying that Zach Wilson played well below expectations in his team’s most recent loss against the New England Patriots. Having lost 10-3, Wilson not only missed wide-open receivers but even blamed the loss on the head of his defensive unit.

This was enough to trigger ESPN analyst – Dan Orlovsky, who absolutely ripped the New York Jets’ #1 Quarterback for his poor performance. Orlovsky also criticized Wilson for his lack of accountability after the defeat.

To bring everyone on the same page – the New York Jets have an elite defense, one that deserved a better fate in Foxboro. But it was the offense who failed to take full advantage. They tallied a putrid 103 total yards (2.1 yards per play), picked up four first downs and failed to score a single TouchDown. Now you know just how careless Zach Wilson was with his words.

Dan Orlovsky blasts Zach Wilson for throwing defensive unit under the bus

Dan Orlovsky said on the latest episode of Get Up, “The comments were pathetic and they reek of insecurity…. He pointed fingers at everyone else but himself.”

Now let’s look upon the individual performance of Zach Wilson ever since he made his return from injury in the 2022-23 season. The 23-year-old completed just 9 of 22 pass attempts for 77 yards with zero TouchDowns and zero interceptions versus Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots.

Furthermore, Zach Wilson has thrown for 154 yards or fewer in four of his last five games. Wilson has thrown only four TouchDowns with five interceptions in seven games this season.

Will Wilson be able to redeem himself in the next match of the Jets against the Chicago Bears (3-8) on November 27? Remains to be seen.
