The 2022-23 NFL Season might have not secured Odell Beckham Jr. with an official contract just yet it doesn’t take away his right from visiting the on-field action. While he is still suffering from his injury (torn ACL) suffered in the Super Bowl LVI showdown, the 29-year-old wide receiver was spotted at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints’ Sunday matchup.
The free agent had come to support his old college teammates Jarvis Landry and Tyrann Mathieu. These three spoken off players had played together with the LSU Tigers and have remained close ever since.
While Tom Brady’s Bucs snapped a four-game regular season skid against the New Orleans Saints by winning 10-20 on Sunday, Odell Beckham Jr. watched the entire action from the side-line. However, NFL Twitter surely had enough content on their hands as they regarded the ‘could-be’ Super Bowl MVP to visit games, only to recruit college talent.
NFL Twitter roasts Odell Beckham Jr after being spotted in Saints vs Bucs showdown
Even before the game had started, Odell Beckham Jr. was spotted greeting Tom Brady and talking to him during the pre-game warmups. Safe to say, the former WRs’ presence did prove to be a lucky charm for Brady as he finally ended his regular-season-curse over the Saints. On the same note, take a look at how NFL Twitter reacted to Odell Beckham Jr. enjoying some Sunday football action.
That being said, Odell Beckham Jr. is still unsigned in the 2022-23 season, while recovering from a second ACL injury suffered during the Super Bowl triumph of LA Rams. Interestingly, even Landy was spotted wearing a shirt featuring Beckham from their LSU days during their pregame warmups.
So, does that mean Odell Beckham Jr. could well be on his way to join the already-loaded New Orleans Saints. Surely, that is something which would hurt the depleted Rams at the moment. However, it is safe to say that this could potentially be an interesting combination put together.
