Tom Brady knew that he had to get his Tampa Bay Buccaneers back on track before their bye week. The 7xSuper Bowl Champ even led his team to two consecutive victories, resulting in them returning to .500 for the 2022-23 season, top of the NFC South division.

On the same note, when Bucs senior coach Bruce Arians addressed the issues with Bucs in a recent interview – he pointed out some ‘facts’ which always enlarged his team’s offensive woes, which majorly includes a young offensive line, who is still settling in the NFL.

Moreover, Arians stressed upon how unnecessarily offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich was criticized. He compared the situation with how no one would do the same to Tom Brady, even if he played below his set-standard. In simpler words, Bruce revealed that when a play-caller isn’t finding success in the ground game, the blame should also be attached to the person who is taking care of the football on the field.

What did Bruce Arians say about Tom Brady?

Arians stated, “I don’t think it was fair to Byron. Nobody is going to say that Brady was playing bad, but he was playing bad. We also had growing pains on a young offensive front and we weren’t running well.

"The way he played last year, it might have been his best year ever,"- Bruce Arians on Tom Brady

“There comes a time as a play-caller when you’re losing yards running the ball and you say, ‘Forget this, I’m putting the ball in Tom’s hands.'”

That being said, Bruce Arians believes that Byron Leftwich did everything to the best of his abilities and it appears that the Tom Brady’s inconsistencies in the passing game was the main issue in the offense. But keeping that aside, all eyes will be on how the 2020 Super Bowl Champ build upon their winning momentum.
