Baltimore Ravens Coach John Harbaugh came out to reveal that he has spoken with his Quarterback Lamar Jackson on Monday morning over his offensive exchange on Twitter on Sunday.
To those who are unaware Ravens lost a close contest 28-27 to Jaguars in their latest matchup. After which one particular fan asked Lamar Jackson to pull up his socks before he urges the franchise to make him the highest earning player in modern-day NFL. Upon this Jackson had a stern response to that particular fan.
Upon this Coach John Harbaugh indicated that there are some fans who often lay out baits like this. Defending his QB, Harbaugh added that the things said by Lamar did not come out in the right manner.
“I just beg guys to not to get into the Twitter world right after the game, especially after a loss,” Harbaugh said of his golden rule for players, as per MSN. “It’s never going to be positive. It’s not going to be a nice place, you know?”
“That’s not the way he speaks. It’s not the way he talks. It’s not the words he ever uses. I’ve never heard him say things like that before.”
Talking more about how Lamar has always spoken his heart out in the right manner, John even indicated his past exchanges and how well the former MVP treats others.
“Lamar Jackson, you’ve been around him. He’s got one of the biggest hearts of anybody I know,” Harbaugh said. “You all have seen him the way he treats people, the way he treats kids, the way he treats the media. And he is also one of the biggest competitors I’ve ever met. So those kinds of conversations he takes very seriously.”
