When Tom Brady convinced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ management to acquire Antonio Brown, many expected the latter to finally have a second chance of making a name for himself in the league. Given his skill-set and talent, Brown could have easily been one of the most spoken off wide receivers.
Yet from removing his shirt, gloves to being thrown out of a pool for exposing in Dubai, Antonio Brown has only gone onto make the headlines for all the wrong reasons. To an extent where many feel that every passing day, he liked to come up with a new controversy associated with his name.
As published and made aware by TMZ, on Saturday – a lawsuit has been filed against former teammate of Tom Brady – Antonio Brown by a man from Florida. Now the question comes, for what? Apparently, Antonio Brown, who wants to be known as a ‘rockstar’ than a football player, scammed him by selling him a fake watch that was, according to the ex-NFL star, was worth $400,000. The watch was bought by the plaintiff for $160,000. What’s the worst here? Apparently, when he brought the watch to an expert, he said it was worth a couple hundred dollars.
Former NFL star Antonio Brown gets penalized yet again by a different party
Upon asking around, the plaintiff learned that Antonio Brown bought four watches like that in Dubai for only $500. One might think that it is still a lot of money for a watch, but nothing compared to the $160,000 price tag the NFL star attached to the watch. This is the primary reason why the spoken off personnel is suing throwing the kitchen sink at Antonio Brown for fraud and is looking to get his entire money back.
That being said, if you’re following Mediareferee, you’ll be aware that this isn’t the first-time former Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ wide receiver has been in the headlines for a lawsuit. Antonio Brown has multiple lawsuits to his name, including some filed by people who worked for him.
This just goes onto show careless Antonio Brown has been when it comes to monetary issues and his reputation in these terms. Having been condemned all his time (in the league) for making larger-than-life purchases, it seems like AB is finally running out of gas, being out of the game for so long.
