“He’s the runaway MVP??? Stop it”- Skip Bayless doesn’t believe Patrick Mahomes should win the MVP award this season

Patrick Mahomes is unarguably one of the greatest ever modern-day Quarterbacks. Not only does he lead his team on the field, but also comes first when his team underperforms. Given that accountability is a key aspect, this player never shies away from taking the blame, perhaps another area where he excels.

Despite casually throwing for 320 passing yards off 27 completions, Mahomes wasn’t at his best. Having made the mistakes, Skip Bayless was the first to come out to point those out. Why did the 70-year-old do so? As the superstar signal caller is in a tight race for the MVP accolade in the 2022-23 season.

Skip Bayless wrote in his tweet, “Mahomes, another awful, careless end-zone INT. And he’s the runaway MVP??? Stop it. Ended Buffalo and Indy losses with killer INTs. Will try ANYthing. Will throw it to the wrong team.”

Patrick Mahomes gets critical on his own mistakes in Week 12

“The defense kept us in the game,” Mahomescredited during his postgame press conference. “Got some turnovers for us, got some big stops after some turnovers that we made, but especially in the red zone we gotta execute at a higher level — I gotta execute at a higher level. I gotta take out the one dumb play I make every game, it seems like,” he voiced. “If I can take that out, I think we’ll be alright.”

Safe to say, Patrick Mahomes has set his own standards, which is way above everyone else. Evidently his mistakes were not taken up fully by the defending champions yet there is no doubt that he played a huge role in securing his team’s 9th win of the 2022-23 campaign.
