While many thought that Purdy would suffer from the wrath of Tom Brady in Week 14. The reality indicates just the opposite case has taken place, as the rookie ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ for San Francisco 49ers has just gone onto become the first ever QB to defeat the 7xSuper Bowl in his first professional NFL start.
By no means this win for the Niners was ordinary. Brock Purdy blew out Tom Brady, Bucs with an emphatic 35-7 scoreline as Skip Bayless ran fast to defend his GOAT. The 70-year-old was adamant on why he won’t give up on Brady and his team just yet.
Skip Bayless wrote in his tweet on Brady, Bucs, “Go ahead, write off Brady if you dare. Say he’s washed. Send him home. Predict the Bucs will be one-and-done in the playoffs, if they even make the playoffs. I AM NOT GIVING UP ON BRADY OR THE BUCS AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR TOMORROW’S UNDISPUTED.”
What has gone wrong for Tom Brady, Bucs?
On one hand where Tom Brady, Bucs are sitting top of their respective conference and have time at their disposal. In simpler words, they can afford inconsistency even at this point. But for the Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance less Niners, this win was massive.
The victory improved the San Francisco 49ers to 9-4 on the season, two games ahead of the 7-6 Seahawks in the NFC West after Seattle Seahawks lost at home to the Carolina Panthers.
That being said, Tom Brady and his men need to work their way and fill in their void, as this form will surely encourage more teams to dismantle them in the playoffs. Will they be able to work their way till the top? Remains to be seen.
