Deion Sanders’ upward trajectory has taken him into the national mainstream, wherein a particular fan desperately wants to add a former NFL star – Shannon Sharpe, into the picture too. Safe to say the wild success in transforming the program of Jackson State has got them in every football fanatic’s mind and this could lead them to grab some of the best names to develop their program even further.

Shannon Sharpe

Shannon Sharpe, who is a Hall of Famer tuned Fox Sports was the subject of a fake tweet on Monday that had him tied to the Alcorn State job. Given that several HBCUs currently employ ex-NFL players and coaches, there was a lot of craving about Sharpe coming into the same mix.

How did this news get mainstream attention? It was also stated in the ‘fake’ tweet that the source of the information was American sports’ sensation – Adrian Wojnarowski. However, after a while, fans caught the red lining as the analyst’s name was spelled wrong. Moreover, since when does Adrian drop bombs like this in the NFL world? Perhaps he known where he serves best – Yes! In the NBA.

Shannon Sharpe responds to fake rumors

Shannon Sharpe responded to the concerned tweet by writing, “This how lies get started. NO ONE, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME OR SHOULD. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN COACHING, Hope this clears it up.”

Safe to say the former Baltimore Ravens tight end is more likely to pop up with a bottle of Henny at a homecoming than on an HBCU sideline with a whistle around his neck.
