With Dan Snyder’s wrong doings out in the open, the NFL only requires 24 out of the 32 owners to get the Washington Commanders out of the league. Having the entire media and majority personnel against him – it seems like Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Isray has decided to reveal his honest opinion.
There have been multiple reports of sexual assault filed against Dan Snyder and especially with the rumor mill indicating that he hired private investigators to find dirt about other NFL owners and the Commissioner Goodell in general, Isray is in no mood to be supporting or even keeping his silence when asked upon the 57-year-old Commanders’ owner.
“I believe there is merit to removing him as owner of the [Commanders],” Irsay said from the hotel lobby of the Conrad New York Downtown, as per ESPN. “There’s consideration that he should be removed. Some of the things I’ve heard doesn’t represent us at all. I want the American public to know what we’re about as owners. … You can’t shy away from the fact that, I believe it’s in the best interest of the National Football League that we look at this squarely in the eyes and deal with it.”
When ESPN published in one of their reports that Dan Snyder hired private investigators (as mentioned above), the 57-year-old came out to call out the sports website for making such vague claims. In response he sent a letter to his fellow team owners, wherein he wrote about his version of the truth.
Snyder wrote, “That is patently false and intended to erode the trust and goodwill between owners that I take quite seriously. I have never hired any private investigator to look into any owner or the Commissioner. I have never instructed or authorized my lawyers to hire any private investigator on my behalf for any such purpose. And I never would.”
