To turn back the history pages – ESPN dropped a bombshell report claiming that Dan Snyder had ‘dirt’ on other owners and particularly Commissioner Roger Goodell. The report claimed that the Washington Commanders owners instructed his law firms to hire private investigators to look into the lapses of other NFL owners to make his final bid for saving his franchise amid massive wave of criticism.
On the same note – Dan Snyder seems to not take the report published by ESPN lightly, as he ores back with some venom. The 57-year-old sent a letter to other NFL owners to refute these claims made in the spoken off article as he’s never done anything claimed on these lines.
The Commanders owner particularly pointed out the part where ESPN wrongly alleged him to hire private investigators to look into other owners – Snyder wrote that “patently false and intended to erode the trust and goodwill between owners that I take quite seriously.” Furthermore, Snyder was in no mood to hold back against any of the false allegations being made. The ‘culprit’ also denied the allegations cited by ESPN in which they said majority wonder, if President Jason Wright has “true authority to fix the team.”
Dan Snyder calls out ESPN amid wrong allegations being imposed against him
Dan Snyder stated, “I have never hired any private investigator to look into any owner or the Commissioner. I have never instructed or authorized my lawyers to hire any private investigator on my behalf for any such purpose. And I never would.”
The 57-year-old added, “It is particularly shameful for ESPN to diminish the very real accomplishments of our President Jason Wright, who ESPN alleges was placed at the Commanders by the League and has no power to make real change. I know you know this to be false. Unfortunately, ESPN ignored our efforts to correct the many falsehoods in their article before its publication.”
