Mac Jones
Even though Mac Jones finished 22-for-36 for 195 yards and a TouchDown in New England’s Patriots most recent game against the resilient Buffalo Bills. His frustration was evident, as he yelled his heart out on Thursday Night just to chase how he truly feels about the team not being able to stamp their authority, courtesy to offensive woes.
Initially there were many speculations surrounding Mac Jones shouting on offensive coordinator Matt Patricia, the #1 Quarterback of Bill Belichick’s unit made his feelings and actions pretty clear in the post-game interview.
“Obviously, I just kind of let my emotions get to me,” Jones said, as per MSN. “We were kind of playing from behind, and what I said was about throwing it deeper in the short game. I have to [execute] that part better but it was the short game we kept going to, which was working. But I felt like we needed chunk plays, and I shouted that out to kind of get everyone going. That’s emotional. That’s football. I’m passionate about this game.”
Acknowledging that his emotions got the better of him, he clearly made it clear that it wasn’t directed towards a specific person.
Moreover, Jones detailed upon playing against a very good team which kept them at bay for pretty much the entire game, and the frustration of not being able to capitalize on their faults caused such an outburst.
“When you are playing from behind against a really good team and a good offense, you have to go out there and make better plays. And that starts with me. It definitely wasn’t good enough by me.”
