On a night which had the legend of Lamar Jackson written all over it, Miami Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa came from behind to spoil the party. Having rallied back from a 21-point deficit in the fourth quarter, the Dolphins stunned everybody, including former league star turned analyst – Shannon Sharpe.
From Tua tossing the game-winning TD pass to Jaylen Waddle with 14 second left to complete the massive comeback, it also went onto equalize the Miami Dolphins’ franchise record of 6 TD passes in a single game. This game only showcased how Miami’s Big 3 – Waddle, Tyreek Hill and Tua have stood tall on the trust shown by the management and fans in them
Shannon Sharpe quoted on the latest episode of Undisputed, “They were down 20 in the fourth quarter – I thought this was over, then Tua (Tagovailoa) throws 199 yards and scores on 4 straight possessions. How in the hell do you let the fastest man in the NFL get behind everybody? TWICE! And Lamar Jackson couldn’t have played better to what he played.”
Moreover, this win marked the largest comeback in Miami Dolphins’ history entering the fourth quarter. On one hand where Tyreek Hill finished the Raven’s game with 11 catches for 190 yards and 2 TouchDowns. His partner – Waddle has 11 catches as well for 171 yards and two TouchDowns registered against his name. Lastly, Tua Tagovailoa finished 36-of-50 for 469 yards with 6 TDs and two interceptions.
On the same note, Sharpe added, “The last thing you wanna do – is make a mistake when you play against Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle because they are two of the fastest receivers in all of the league. So, now you got two guys who can stretch the field. But I was shocked, I thought this game was over. No way I thought Miami Dolphins can score 28 points in the fourth quarter. They (Miami Dolphins) win this game when the Ravens had dominated for three quarters.”
While one applauded the hard-fought and valiant effort of the Miami Dolphins, the voids of the Baltimore Ravens were also exploited, late in the game. Will John Harbaugh be able to take a note of all the short comings before Week 3 showdown against the New England Patriots? Remains to be seen.
