“If it was Beasley from a few years ago, it would have a huge impact”- Shannon Sharpe has doubts over Cole Beasley signing with the Buccaneers

After Mike Evans decided to once again display his ‘affection’ for Marson Lattimore, there was always going to be a suspension looming upon his head. And with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers already running out of receiver options, it seems like the team has turned towards a veteran and former Dallas Cowboy – Cole Beasley.

Given that Julio Jones and Chris Godwin are placed on the injury list. Mike Evans, too has been ruled out from Week 3 showdown, Tampa Bay have acquired the service of Cole Beasley – who earlier revealed his desire to join a receiver-needy team for his 11th season in the league.

Beasley has been added to Bucs’ practice squad with an expectation that he’ll move up to the active roster in very short order. To those who are not aware, Cole Beasley was released by the Buffalo Bills in March after three seasons with the teams.

Shannon Sharpe reacts on Tampa Bay Buccaneers signing Cole Beasley

Shannon Sharpe quoted on the latest episode of Undisputed, “Skip look – If this was the Cole Beasley from a couple of years ago, I would say he would have a big impact. The thing is – they need body, Mike Evans could be potentially suspended for a game. They don’t have Evans, Chris Godwin; we don’t know the extent of Julio Jones’s injury.”

5’8 – Cole Beasley has had a roller coaster ride in the NFL so far. From being an undrafted prospect in 2012, he went onto become a fan favortie in Dallas after tallying 319 receptions and 3,217 yards over seven seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. Beasley seven registered 23 TouchDowns against his name in the process.
