Although there is no denying that Dallas Cowboys’ marquee Dak Prescott has immense amount of talent and potential, yet the concern has always been about his able to showcase it on his resume. With Hall of Famers like Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach establishing the path to glory, can the 29-year-old Quarterback ever come to match those terms?
Jerry Jones’ team have always been considered a threat in the regular season. However, as the season gets tedious for every team show their real strength and caliber, Cowboys have more often than not failed to deliver when the stakes have been set high. On the same note, Prescott has just one playoff victory in his six seasons aa starter. Furthermore, Cowboys have posed a tally of 1-3 with Dak leading the charge in the playoff.
That being said, this time around it looks like Prescott is all set to take the ultimate leap. He stated as per ESPN, “It starts there for me, trying to fill the shoes of those guys that have come before me and do something for this organization that hasn’t been done in a long time.”
Prescott added, “When you win games, sometimes credit – you give us too much credit – so it’s reciprocated the same way. When you don’t win games, it goes on our shoulders sometimes and that’s OK. I’m a guy that will take it whenever.”
On one hand where Prescott is yet to experience the rush of a Super Bowl, there are no two-ways in stating that there are only a few players who can handle pressure, just the way Dak Prescott does. Many believe that if you search for the word ‘Adversity’ in a dictionary, you could spot the picture of Dak Prescott.
That being said, while injuries have hampered the upward trajectory of Dak, his health plays a huge role in deciding the fate of Cowboys in the upcoming season. As it is, if he is able to use his legs in and out of the pocket, there aren’t QBs as impressive as Dak. Lastly, the 29-year-old sensation has looked healthy throughout the offseason, with his mobility getting better as we speak. Will we witness the legendary of Prescott? All speculations will be answered as the Cowboys unravel their latest campaign against 2020 Champs, Tampa Bay on Sunday.
