When the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Indianapolis Colts on the away turf, Head Coach Nick Sirianni was seen celebrating expressively. Having beaten the Colts, the Eagles have now moved to a 9-1 tally, the best in the league so far after the first 11 weeks.
This was Nick Sirianni’s first game back in Indianapolis since taking charge of the Eagles in 2021. To those who are not aware, he served as the offensive coordinator under Frank Reich, the latter is the same personnel who was fired by the Colts in the first week of November.
“I’m emotional because I love Frank Reich,” Sirianni told reporters postgame, via NFL.com. “He’s one of the best damn football coaches I’ve ever been around. I was hoping he and I would be able to coach against each other in this game.”
Indianapolis Colts fired Frank Reich after the team dropped a humiliating game against Patriots. Being 3-5-1, Colts had the one of the worst offensive ratings in the 2022-23 season.
“You don’t want to know what I think about whether he should be here or not, because you guys can probably imagine what I really think,” Sirianni said of Reich. “I love him. So, I got a little emotional about that.”
On one hand where Sirianni was happy about winning with the Eagles in his first game back to Indianapolis. Reich was replaced by Jeff Saturday as the interim Head Coach despite having no NFL Coaching experience.
