Davante Adams was recently traded to the Las Vegas Raiders from the Green Bay Packers which shocked the entire world
This move was unexpected for everyone as nobody thought that Davante Adams will leave the Packers after Aaron Rodgers had signed a new contract for the Packers to stay here for the rest of his career.
Aaron Rodgers must be well aware of the fact that his best receiver will be leaving the team soon otherwise he wouldn’t have signed that contract in the first place.
Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams were very close to each other which made it hard to believe that they got separated.
However, Davante really enjoyed his career at the Green Bay Packers, and in his farewell post to the Packers Nation he said, “To the Packers organization, I can’t thank you enough for seeing in me what no one else did.”
“That phone call back in 2014….” – Davante Adams
Davante in his post where he thanked the franchise and the fans further said, “That phone call back in 2014 was one of my most memorable moments and I promised myself then that I would do everything in my power to repay you for taking a chance on me.”
He added, “We accomplished a lot together and even through the tough times, you always had my back and your trust in me has never wavered. For that, I’m forever grateful.”
Davante Adams was a crucial part of this franchise and it will be interesting to see how will the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers himself will cope without their star wide receiver.
Adams, on the other hand, will get a chance to play with his college mate and best friend Derek Carr at the Las Vegas Raiders where he has signed a contract which is the highest given contract to a WR in the history of the NFL.
