Minnesota Vikings seems to be the ‘feel-good’ team of the 2022-23 NFL Season. Having registered a record of 8-1 after the first 10 weeks, Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson led side finds themselves just multiple wins away from securing their berth in the playoffs.
However, their next challenge is against the Dallas Cowboys who are currently 6-3, 3rd spot in the NFC East. Given that Dak Prescott led team is highly unpredictable, Hall of Famer turned analyst Shannon Sharpe backs Vikings to register their 9th win of the season.
On the latest episode of Undisputed, Sharpe explained why he is choosing Vikings over Cowboys as his winner for this Week 11 clash, “I believe the game is going to be close. Cousins has been unbelievable. He has been able to win these close ball games. He has five game-winning drives in the fourth quarter or overtime. That’s very impressive. Dak has zero this year. I think it’s something to be said for a team that has been in close games and has found ways to win close games.”
To those who are not aware Kirk Cousins has 7th most passing yards in the 2022-23 season, and 9th most TouchDown passes (14). Dak Prescott is yet to find his best groove, a scenario which we witness in the Week 10 showdown against the Green Bay Packers.
Sharpe added, “They have a different coaching staff, they run a system [and] they’re playing much better coming into this game than they were last year. This is a totally different team.”
That being Shannon Sharpe concluded by stating how worried he is for the Cowboys, who are ranked #29 in rush defense. Playing against a side, which has broken down defensive walls, which had all intentions to stop Minnesota Vikings’ O-line to score, will this a battle of two separate strategies? Remains to be seen.
