Many believed Joe Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals to be the team to watch out for in the 2022-23 season after their empathic triumph till the Super Bowl last time around. However, the reality has been quite the opposite as the team has now sunk into a 0-2 whole, having found no rhythm whatsoever.

On one hand where their first loss came to Pittsburgh Steelers, there second loss came against a Dak Prescott-less Dallas Cowboys. While many analysts have ruled out Cincinnati Bengals of making it into the Championship Game by every mean, Colin Cowherd seems to still sided with Joe Burrow and Bengals’ potential to bounce back in the 2022-23 season.

Colin Cowherd stated on The Herd, “The other team which I think will figure out their way is – Cincinnati Bengals. Historically the team that loses the Super Bowl, goes into a tank (in the next season) but that is not going to be the case with Cincinnati. I think they have a great Quarterback, great weapons and that’s the league in 2022.”

Colin Cowherd still sides with Cincinnati Bengals despite 0-2 hole

While there have been glimpses of individuals players stealing the limelight. However, there seems to be no synchronization between the marquee QB- Joe Burrow and the rest of the offense. Moreover, the O-Line has never found its solidarity and consistency to play against the star-studded players and have more often than not lost shape easily.

On the same note – Cowherd added, “So, why are they (Cincinnati Bengals) struggling? Number one – they spend a lot of money and the O-Line is still bad because Joe Burrow didn’t practice or play with it. I think Bengals figured out a lot of what they need to do in the second half (vs Cowboys). But is it possible that the Bengals are just a fun, young, lightening in a bottle, spunky team for one year?

“That is what the Carolina Panthers were and the same case was with Atlanta. So, is Cincinnati just a one-year phenomenon? I don’t believe so. It’s all because of Joe Burrow not playing in the pre-season and all new offensive line, Burrow hasn’t practiced with. I saw the second half vs Cowboys yesterday and you’ll see glimpses of what they really are.”
