Former Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III gave Patrick Mahomes his flowers for exceptional performances this season.
Many predicted that Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will regress this season as they lost Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins prior to this season. However, it didn’t happen as the Chiefs are currently the 1st seed in the AFC and Patrick Mahomes is an MVP favorite.
Even without the services of Tyreek Hill, Patrick Mahomes has been able to lead his team from the front and the Chiefs are Super Bowl contenders once again. Former Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III recently praised Mahomes for his exceptional play this season.
Talking about Patrick Mahomes, RG III said, “It doesn’t matter who’s around him. I mean, we’re seeing with Aaron Rodgers, no Davante Adams and there’s all these excuses we’re seeing with other teams are no AJ Brown I was, but it doesn’t matter who’s around Patrick Mahomes, he will make plays and he’s playing even better now.”
He added, “Five more passing touchdowns and anybody else more passing yards than anybody else. So the point about him elevating others. I think that’s what MVP is actually do the elevators or others and that’s what Patrick Mahomes is.”
Patrick Mahomes is the frontrunner for the MVP award this season and if he continues to play like the way he has done so far, there is no doubt that the Chiefs quarterback will win the second MVP award of his career.
