After beating the Cincinnati Bengals in their opening game of the 2022-23 season, many expected the Pittsburgh Steelers to register plenty of underdog wins. However, after Week 1, the league hasn’t been kind to this team as they have gone onto suffer with 4 straight losses. Wherein the most humiliating one came this past Sunday.
To those who missed the footballing action on Sunday Night, the Buffalo Bills beat Pittsburgh Steelers 38-3. During which they even removed their marquee stars and placed them on the bench as the result was as evident as the moon, making Cameron Heyward acknowledge the reality that his team is facing at the moment.
While fans were trying to spot any Pittsburgh Steelers’ star to spring back life into their team, this showdown was all about Josh Allen. He threw four TouchDown passes, two of which were to Gabe Davis and the other two to – rookie Khalil Shakir and Stefon Diggs. He threw for 348 yards in the first half, and a tally of career-high 424 yards before the leaving the game. As some might refer to it as – sparring the Steelers off their own misery.
Is the road over for Pittsburgh Steelers after being 2-1?
T.J.Watt less Pittsburgh Steelers have been nothing but miserable week after week, wherein different voids of their unit have been put out in the open. On the same note, when Cameron Heyward was asked upon his team’s form, he surely did not want to sugar-coat his words.
“It’s a myriad of things,” Cameron Heyward said, via the Steelers website, as quoted by Clutchpoints “Execution. Not tackling. Not using basic things that we practiced from training camp, whether it’s staying inside or having the gap or using your hands. It’s all of these things included. And that butt kicking we just took proves that…If there’s anybody that can say they had a great game, then you’re not searching hard enough. We all got to own this. From top to bottom…It’s a dark day. When you lose like that, you can’t go running from it.”
Does the 1-4 tally indicate the road of the playoffs coming to an end for the Pittsburgh Steelers? Or can they make a way back in the AFC North (4th currently) somehow? Remains to be seen.
