Stakes could not be higher for Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs ahead of their meeting in Week 4 of the 2022-23 season. With Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes both losing in the previous week, a win is vitally important for each of them.
While the Chiefs have shown their offensive prowess on occasions, Tom Brady and his Bucs have had concerns on the offensive end in this season. Having scored just 51 points in three games, Brady enters the Week 4 showdown also with a depleted WR sheet.
There are no doubts that even after being at the top of the NFC South, Tom Brady’s Bucs would be aware about their offensive voids, which they will have to fill if they want to contest for the Super Bowl.
Skip Bayless quoted on the latest episode of Undisputed, “You’re telling me that the Chiefs can’t go down and beat what’s left of Tampa’s offense?….Tom Brady isn’t bad, he just has nobody to throw to. It’s been the worst collection of WRs he’s ever had.”
When Tom Brady retires for good, Patrick Mahomes is surely one of the frontrunners to certify him. That being said, Tom Brady has already defeated Mahomes in the Super Bowl a couple of seasons ago, but this time around it seems like Patrick Mahomes might just have the better tools to land on the right side of this encounter.
That being said, the Buccaneers will have Mike Evans returning from suspension, and will look to use him in the best form possible. But if they stand a chance to demolish Chiefs in Week 4, it has to be their defense who need to play exactly how they played against Green Bay Packers in the second half – by locking the offense up.
