“It’s going to be a long season for Brady-less Belichick”: Skip Bayless is worried about the New England Patriots following a horrible start to the season against the Miami Dolphins

New England Dolphins had abundance of expectations to fulfil as they geared up for their season opener against the Miami Dolphins. But from the word go, it was all about the latter side as they won 20-7 at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday. With many fanatics and the fanbase of the Patriots concerned, sports media personality – Skip Bayless too revealed his worry.

What took the game away from New England Patriots was Dolphins’ elite defense, who simply did not back down. Perhaps the only fumble they had was that one particular TouchDown, a catch-and-run by Ty Montgomery in the third quarter. Apart from which it was all about the side from Miami.

Skip Bayless is surely known to add fuel to the fire, but this time his worry could be just a warning sign for the things waiting in store for Bill Belichick’s side. This was the first time ever that a team had beaten his side for a consecutive four-times.

New England Patriots suffer a humongous 20-7 loss in Week 1

Interestingly this is the second-straight time that New England Patriots fell prey to Miami Dolphins. Miami’s defense won the turnover battle with a key end-zone interception and fumble-six in the first half that set the early tone and sent the former team into a hole they couldn’t climb out of.

Bill Belicheck’s Patriots went down from the initial moments and went onto hang on a thread, down 10-0. To make matters worse, the defense allowed a 92-yard-TouchDown scoring drive that extended the lead to 17-0 at halftime. It has to be said that the poor display of situational football was a big nail in the New England Patriots’ coffin.

As things stand, this particular loss for Bill Belichick’s team came from self-inflicted mistakes and depleted efforts to change the course of the game. It is to be noted that teams have come back stronger and this is exactly what Mac Jones and other New England players would be focusing upon. Will we see this team bouncing back in the coming weeks? Remains to be seen.
