NFL Fans all over the world excited for the AFC Championship Game re-match as Cincinnati Bengals lock horns against the Kansas City Chiefs. With both offensive units being loaded with offense, this game seems to be running in the mind of football fanatics. Even before the on-field drama has started, the off-field antics have taken charge with Ja’Marr Chase being the latest to pull the trigger.
So, who did Ja’Marr Chase call? Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid, whose response has triggered the former star. “A lot of it is going to come down to making a play on the ball. They have 88… Higgins… He’s more of a finesse type of guy, not the best blocker. I’m going to lock him down. Straight up,” Reid said.
His words were enough for Ja’Marr Chase to give out an open challenge. Perhaps the Bengals All-Pro receiver wants his man to answer the most ‘iconic’ way possible to Reid, who casually attempted to have no idea about knowing Tee Higgins.
Whatever the explanation might be, it did seem like Reid called Higgins as ‘soft’. Being a larger-than-life big target, he can be anything but soft is generally not attached to his name.
But as far as Ja’Marr Chase is concerned, he has missed plenty of footballing action due to his injury and is itching to bounce back on the field.
He practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday and is listed as questionable to play. But if he does suit up, Reid should realize who Ja’Marr Chase is coming after.
