Josh Allen downplays Patrick Mahomes like no other NFL Quarterback has ever done

Josh Allen and his Buffalo Bills prove to a tough unit for Kansas City Chiefs in their Week 6 showdown. In the process of inspiring his team in a highly anticipated matchup, Josh Allen did something no other Quarterback in the NFL has been ever able to do- just to match Patrick Mahomes’ legendary.

Josh Allen

Josh Allen led from the front and led his team to an emphatic 24-20 victory behind three impact-worthy TouchDowns passes on 27-of-40 pass completion for 329 yards. On the other hand, the other Quarterback on show – Patrick Mahomes had his two TouchDowns pretty much cancelled out by the two interceptions he threw, in the spoken off showdown between Bills and Chiefs.

In the process Josh Allen also did something which no other Quarterback has ever done, especially to a veteran and experienced Quarterback like Patrick Mahomes. To those who are unaware the 26-year-old is the only QB to defeat Mahomes twice in his home turf at the Arrowhead Stadium. Buffalo Bills previously beat Kansas City Chiefs during their meeting in October last campaign.

Josh Allen inspired Bills to beat Chiefs in 2022-23 season

Both these spoken off teams started at a slow pace. Mahomes notably capped the first half by delivering a pair of quick strikes in the warning seconds to set up a Chiefs franchise record 62-yard field goal by Harrison B. that knocked the score at 10-10. However, Josh Allen was a big-play machine more than anyone. Well, the other factor was the Buffalo Bills’ defense, who imposed their authority in the latter stages.

That being said, the Chiefs did manage to beat the Bills last time around in the playoffs. However, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are a much-improved unit in the 2022-23 season. The outcome could well be different if the two sides locked horns this time around in the playoffs or knockout stages.
