While many would suggest that the Week 2 showdown against the Chicago Bears wasn’t the most ‘ideal’ performance by Green Bay Packers, yet there was plenty of improvement. Not only did marquee Quarterback – Aaron Rodgers spread the ball more productively, but Matt LaFleur also successfully unlocked his dynamic backfield duo.

Aaron Rodgers

After Week 1, many expected Justin Field and his Bears to thump Green Bay Packers – if they were to make mistakes. However, even with a few major fumbles, the Green Bay Packers secured a victory to get back to .500 in the NFC North contention.

The wise decision taken by the Green Bay Packers was to understand their opponent since the initial minutes. They pivoted a balance attack with Jones as their focal point. Even then the Packers’ offense did have their slip-ups, which dually invited Bears to gather momentum but never lost their shape of consistency ever since the first TouchDown.

While Green Bay Packers never allowed Justin Fields to settle into his passing rhythm, David Montogomery did give them some headache. Safe to say, Preston Smith headlined that group, with Jaire Alexander sped across the entire field to pick off Justin Fields, especially in the closing minutes. Picking out the same on Get Up, Ryan Clark pointed out-

Clark quoted on the latest episode of ESPN’s Get Up, “We knew about this analysis coming in Monday morning, we knew that this team would be this…that they would need a great run game. Let’s not be fooled into thinking that this is going to be a team that competes right away.”

Justin Fields

That being said, one may point out Aaron Rodgers’ pinpoint third-down darts to Cobb or Jones’ TouchDown as the turning point in the game. However, it was Green Bay Packers’ goal-line stand on a fourth-down shotgun drawn by Justin Fields, which sealed the game and the momentum in their favor.
