While Russell Wilson has had a legendary career in the NFL so far. It appears that his stint with the Denver Broncos hasn’t got the ideal start as he was massively booed in his home debut. The fans made sure they let Wilson know about their ‘true’ feelings just after the first two games of the 2022-23 season.

This isn’t the best start to Russell Wilson’s season as well as there are plenty of expectations from the Broncos – keeping his mind their schedule as well. Having already suffered a loss against his former team – Seattle Seahawks in the inaugural week, more salt was added to the wound as former home fans booed Wilson throughout the night. The same was highlighted by sports media personality, Nick Wright, who seems to be understanding Wilson’s misery at the moment.

Nick Wright tweeted, “Russ getting booed in his first game as a Bronco! Life comes at you fast even when you’re Mr. Quite Limited.”

Denver Broncos’ fans have already had enough of Russell Wilson

It wasn’t all hate for Russell Wilson since the beginning. He received a warm welcome from the fans in Denver before the game started. However, later in the game he was booed by the home fans. Safe to say, this easily gave him the inspiration to lead his side to a 16-9 victory in Week 2 of the 2022-23 season.

The reason why Denver Broncos and its fans expect a lot from Russell Wilson is because how they surrendered tons of draft picks to only acquire him via trade. Not only that, but also handed Wilson with a massive paycheck, making him one of the highest earning players of the season. So, the boos are only an indication that the fans want to see more out of Russell Wilson, especially in games where the entire team is put to test and are seeking for inspiration.
