Mac Jones had a brilliant rookie season with the New England Patriots. It seems like the Patriots have found their new long-term quarterback after Tom Brady left with so much success achieved with the team.
The quarterback from Alabama was not highly touted before the draft but during the season he was the best rookie quarterback, even better than Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence.
Bill Belichick’s ability to transform players is unmatched and Jones might just be another one of the players who get huge success while working under coach Belichick.
Jones in an interview talked about his preparations for the next season during this offseason as he looks to make himself better.
Mac admitted that he is very fond of ice-creams and will be looking to cut them off in order to be the best version of himself on the pitch.
He talked in a recent interview for Patriots website and said, “I like ice cream too much, like a lot of people, I just want to limit it and then try and eat healthy, like we do at the Patriots; every day (they) give us great food. I just got to talk to Ted Harper, our nutritionist, and make sure we’re on the same page.”
He further said, “This offseason will be a big, big part of it, just getting stronger and cleaning up on my diet and all that, So there’s a lot that’s gonna go into it before next season even starts. That’s the important part, attacking that, and then hopefully a lot of big changes will come, with whether it’s mechanics or the playbook. I have a lot of time now to kind of digest everything and kind of take it over, how I want to do it.”
This will be a special season for Mac Jones as he is now already familiar with the league and most of the players take a huge leap in their second season, and it should be the same for the Patriots quarterback.
