Things haven’t been the best for Los Angeles Rams and Matthew Stafford in the 2022-23 season. Currently being monitored for concussion symptoms amid the final stretch of regular season games, his wife – Kelly got honest on the possibility of her husband wanting to sit out the rest of the season.
Moreover, Kelly even gave the latest update about Matthew Stafford’s health on the latest episode of ‘The Morning After’ podcast. It is not easy for any player to undergo concussion protocols, on top of that Stafford has endured two in just a month’s time.
For those who are unaware, Matthew entered concussion protocols on November 9 and missed their Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals. Just as he made his return, he got brutally hit in Week 11 against the New Orleans Saints on November 20, eventually had to sit out against the resilient Kansas City Chiefs in the successive week’s mega showdown.
Being 3-8 after the end of Week 12, it remains to be seen what Rams does without their marquee Quarterback. Especially with just 5 games remaining, it does look impossible for them to make it to the business end this time around.
“If it was up to me, you guys know how I would feel,” Kelly said. “But it’s not up to me. It’s my husband and what he’s worked for. I love that he’s a competitor, I love that he wants to be out there.”
That being said, the first concern for plenty of Rams’ fans would be to see Matthew Stafford fit and fine, as the chances of their team making the playoffs are close to NIL.
