The Dallas Cowboys had a disappointing end to a season that promised a lot.

The roster of the Dallas Cowboys has so much potential that only making the playoffs and not going further seemed like a failure.

They lost to the 49ers in the NFC wildcard game and were faced with heavy criticism from around the world.

The Dallas Cowboys played well in the regular season which raised the bar of expectations from them which they failed to fulfill. However, a silver lining in their season was their rookie LB Micah Parsons who showed the world what he is.

In just his rookie season he gained so much appreciation from everyone, as many believe he is the best defender in the league.

To get this recognition in just his rookie season, would have meant the world for the young LB, who can become one of the all-time greats if he carries on going the same path.

He recently revealed that he was playing through injury in the recently concluded season.

The Dallas Cowboys linebacker’s revealed that he hyperextended his knee in a training camp practice. The injury took place during practice with the Los Angeles Rams and was bothered by the ailment all season.

It was at a point where I was like, ‘I’m in a position battle. I’m going against Jaylon (Smith). The first game is coming up soon.’ I was like, ‘This is the worst time for this to happen,” said Parsons recently in an interview with Bleacher Report, via The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

He added, “It’s something that just kept lingering. When you hyperextend something, it needs rest. But I was like, ‘I can’t take no rest.’ The whole season I kept rehabbing, rehabbing, rehabbing so that way I could play in the games.”

This further proves that this young man is the real deal and we could see a much better player in the next season when he is fully fit.
