Dallas Cowboys and its marquee players were slammed by analysts in and around the NFL world for dropping their Week 10 clash against the Green Bay Packers. Rather than dismantling their morale, the Cowboys took that as motivation and came up strong against the Minnesota Vikings, who had previously lost just one game in the entire 2022-23 season.
To those who missed Sunday Night Football, thinking Vikings would conquer yet another team. That wasn’t the case as there was only one team which seemed to be doing everything productive and efficiently with the ball – and it was the Dallas Cowboys, winning 40-3 against their opponents in Week 11.
Not only did they make their caliber showcase loud and clear, but even shocked analysts. One of which is Rex Ryan, who could not believe what he saw from Jerry Jones’ team against a side which was simply not backing down.
Rex Ryan said on the latest episode of Get Up, “Most dominant performance in the NFL this year by any team. Like this was absolutely crazy, it was scary how good their defense was…Like I never saw this coming. Nobody saw this coming.”
Even when the Cowboys registered 40 points against their name, the headlines were stolen by their defensive unit.
Not only did they hold Vikings to 0 points in the opening three quarters, but they even snapped Kirk Cousins a career-most 7 times on Sunday. Moreover, Cowboys snapped the spoken off QB’s streak of 39 straight games with a passing TouchDown.
While many in the Minnesota Vikings were in utter shock even after the game, coach Kevin O’Connell that his team will be able to bounce back when they host New England Patriots on Thanksgiving.
