Derrick Henry, the Tennessee Titans running back has arguably been the best running back of this generation.
Derrick Henry was drafted with the 45th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans from Alabama. He has been a dominant running back throughout his life and the story was the same in the NFL.
Since his time in the league, Henry has arguably been the best running back in the league, and many believe he is the best running back of this generation. Recently, Peter Schrager claimed that Derrick Henry has already secured his spot in the NFL Hall of Fame.
Talking about Derrick Henry, Peter Schrager said, “If Derrick Henry never takes another snap in the NFL, he’s going to the hall of fame, he’s in okay to the greatest running back of his generation. You cannot write the history of this sport and talk about this generation and not include Derrick Henry what he’s done over the last three or four years puts him in that conversation.”
He added, “My point is, he is such a unicorn, right? Yeah, that he’s the six foot six that he’s not supposed to exist and they’ve tried that’s why there’s no one else like him.”
In seven seasons with the Titans, Derrick Henry has 1,631 carries for 7,807 yards, 112 catches for 1,045 yards, and has scored 78 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 1 Pro Bowl and has won 1 Offensive Player of the Year award.
