Shannon Sharpe believes that there is no bad blood between Odell Beckham Jr. and Baker Mayfield following their split.
Many people believed that Odell Beckham Jr. and Baker Mayfield didn’t like each other when they were in Cleveland together. Due to it, OBJ was released by the franchise. He later signed with the Rams and went on to win the Super Bowl.
On the other hand, Mayfield had a terrible season and was replaced by Deshaun Watson. Baker is now the starting quarterback of the Carolina Panthers, and it will start a new chapter of his life.
OBJ recently wished luck to his former quarterback, and it caught the eye of everyone. While people are assuming there is bad blood between Mayfield, and OBJ, the WR is wishing that his former QB succeeds on his new team.
NFL Hall of Famer, Shannon Sharpe who is quite close to Odell Beckham Jr. recently spoke about the situation between the WR and Mayfield on his show Undisputed.
Talking about it, Shannon Sharpe said, “Could Odell Doesn’t Wish Bad on Baker? I think the Thing Is Sometimes We Get It Conflicted It Didn’t Work Baker and Odell Didn’t Work in Cleveland.”
He added, “Just Because We Can’t Eat in the Same Restaurant That Doesn’t Mean I Don’t Want You to Eat So I’ll Just Go to a Different Restaurant or You Can Go to a Different Restaurant I Still Want You to Get Fed I Think People Just Because Things Didn’t Work They Wanted There to Be Bad Blood Between Odell and Baker…”
Shannon Sharpe signified how great of a person Odell Beckham Jr. is. Despite their fallout in Cleveland, the Super Bowl-winning WR still wants the best for Mayfield.
Shannon Sharpe further said, “It Didn’t Work for Whatever Reason in Cleveland Between Odell and Baker but Odell Said I Don’t Want This Young Man Not to Shine I Don’t Want This Young Man Not to Eat Go Do Your Thing Go Show Them Who You Are Go Show Them What You Are and When I Get Healthy I’m Going to Shine I’m Going to Do My Thing So I Don’t Have a Problem With It It Just Goes to Show You the Type of Person That Odell Is…”
Odell Beckham Jr. is still a free agent but many teams are luring to sign him. Once he gets healthy we will be seeing him back in the NFL immediately. He is a difference maker and we saw that last season when he contributed massively to the Rams’ success.
Last season, OBJ redeemed himself after his move away from the Browns to the Rams. Now, Baker Mayfield has a similar opportunity handed to him in Carolina.
He is almost certain to be starting quarterback of the Carolina Panthers. He could perform well and get a decent contract next season, which is what he actually wanted.
If Mayfield can lead this weak Panthers team to a respectable record, then it would be a great achievement on his part. Many teams could become interested to sign him if he shines in the upcoming season.
