Aaron Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts are two teams in different divisions who have experienced the same fate so far in the 2022-23 regular season. In the first nine weeks, both these concerned teams have won only three games, making their playoffs aspirations fall in major hole.
While the Packers have made no significant changes still, Colts’ most recent loss provoked them to replace Frank Reich with Jeff Saturday as the interim Head Coach. When Rodgers appeared on the Pat McAfee Show, the reigning MVP about the above-mentioned move. Knowing Aaron, he did not shy away from making a comment, perhaps a bit too honest.
Rodgers said, “I was very surprised. Definitely. It’s so rare that somebody. I know he’s coached in high school, right? But definitely no NFL coaching experience.”
Just like many thought, Aaron Rodgers pointed out how Jeff Saturday had no experience in NFL coaching.
The two-time reigning MVP added, “It’s all a bit different. Usually, they appoint someone from the staff, right? I’m just surprised. Like it’s rare. But hopefully, it works out for them. I don’t have a strong opinion about this. I just think it’s.…surprising because it’s just right. It hasn’t been done before. I mean, in recent history.”
That being said, after registering a 5-game losing streak, Aaron Rodgers will be looking to lead his team back to winning ways against the resilient Dallas Cowboys. Will we witness a game of redemption for the veteran Quarterback? Or is his misery going to continue in the forthcoming games? Remains to be seen.
