“OBJ is too smart to go to Kansas City”- Skip Bayless believes Odell Beckham Jr will not sign with the Kansas City Chiefs

With Odell Beckham Jr still being referred as a free agent, approaching his return from injury – it seems like Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs could be one of the many suitors, chasing to sign the reigning Super Bowl Champion. Given that the Chiefs have often found themselves short-handed in clutch situations, Odell could play a huge role.

Moreover, with Patrick Mahomes being pressurized – and Travis Kelce being outnumbered in the latter stages, Odell Beckham Jr’s presence could once again lead to Kansas City Chiefs taking over the league.

But sports media veteran – Skip Bayless feels that Odell Beckham Jr would not be on his way to join the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only did the former state where this experienced wide receiver can land, but he reasoned just why Kansas is not the ideal place of Beckham Jr.

Bayless stated on the latest episode of Undisputed, “I say there is no way Odell goes to Kansas City. If he did, I would be very impressed. But I say there’s no way because he’s too smart to go to Kansas City. Even though it looks like because Kelce restructured it, looks like the skids have been greased here. It feels like Kelce is saying, ‘We need you. I’m actually sacrificing in a way for you.'”

Given that this spoken off team restructured Travis Kelce’s contract to create cap space to adding the last piece in clinching the Super Bowl – many speculate it to be Odell Beckham Jr who this team could be chasing. But for Bayless – these are all speculations than anything else.

The 70-year-old analyst concluded by stating that Odell Beckham Jr wouldn’t fancy a move to Kansas on these terms, “The problem is if Odell would agree to sign with Kansas City, all of a sudden he would be heralded, as he approaches 30 years of age, as the Savior in Kansas City.”
