Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys were undoubtedly the favorite side to sign reigning Super Bowl Champ, Odell Beckham Jr. However, things aren’t looking pretty for them after their most recent attack. To bring everyone on the same page – after Odell’s most recent visit – the ensuing leak of medical information could make their claim significantly drop.
As per Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, the Dallas Cowboys were behind the info that details Odell Beckham Jr. “So, who did this come from? Beckham’s camp? No way. It only came from the Cowboys. And it’s obvious that the Cowboys wanted it out there.”
“The source called the team’s decision to leak negative information about Beckham’s knee ‘astounding.’ There was even a suggestion that Beckham, who recently sued Nike for breach of contract, should sue the Cowboys for violating his medical privacy rights. ‘How could he even consider signing there now?’ the source asked.”
While Florio seems convinced that it is same case as above, not many will be convinced. Moreover, fans on social media are constantly trying to find results on the same case. So, hopefully the answer will be out soon.
That being said, Odell Beckham Jr.’s desire to join Dallas Cowboys could be affected? Who knows, but yes! This could surely affect his upcoming contract now that he would be featuring in the 2022-23 season.
Safe to say, clearly, if the leak rumors are true, there are better ways to go about it than hurting someone’s free agency chances.
