It seemed like Minnesota Vikings blew away a 21-3-point lead in their latest matchup against the Chicago Bears, who scored 19 straight points to take a 1-point lead until the closing stage. Just when the going got tough, in came Kirk Cousins to save the day for his team with a 1-yard TouchDown with 2:26 remaining, ensuring that the Vikings emerge victorious 29-22.

Vikings scored TouchDowns in all of their first three drives of the second half as Kirk Cousins started this spoken off encounter with 17 straight completions for 176 yards. To be precise about his stats from the game – Kirk Cousins completed 32 of 41 passes for over 290 yards and a score.

However, things changed after half-time where even Kirk Cousins was outplayed by the Bears, pressurizing the marquee Quarterback to make mistakes. Which even triggered analyst Ryan Clark. But then his game-winning play seems to have summarized his performance on the night.

Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson ensure Vikings win against Bears in Week 5

To those who are not aware, Kirk Cousins led Minnesota Vikings have trailed with less than 5 minutes remaining in three straight games now, and each time – they have emerged victorious. They took the lead against Detroit with just 45 seconds left in Week 3. After which, they inched past Saints in Week 4 with just 24 seconds left.

Safe to say, the boat Minnesota Vikings is sailing on, seems to be dangerous but has got them past the winning line each time. Talking about the other marquee star for the Vikings, apart from Cousins – Justin Jefferson finished with a career high 12 catches for 154 yards and even caught a 2-point conversion pass from Cousins to push to lead to seven eventually.

That being said, Kirk Cousin even set a franchise record with 17 consecutive completions to start the game vs Bears. Whereas Jefferson passed Hall of Famer, Randy Moss to set a Vikings record for most receptions (236) in a player’s first three seasons. Justin achieved the same in 12 less games than Moss.
