Patrick Mahomes gave his views on the trade of his former star wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins.

Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins from the Kansas City Chiefs which shocked the entire world as Hill is one of the best players in the NFL and was an important part of this Chiefs squad.

Tyreek and Mahomes

Nobody could have seen this coming as the trio of Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce was considered a cornerstone for this franchise.

Eventually, Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins and he will be a very good player for them because of the impact that he can have due to his skills and pace.

Talking about the trade of Tyreek, Patrick Mahomes said, “They kept me updated the entire time; I knew the extension talks were going on. And then I knew when he got the permission to seek to get traded.”

He added, “But I mean, still, I played my entire career with Tyreek, so definitely, there was a little bit of shock when he got traded.”

Mahomes further said, “At the same time, they kept me involved the entire process, and I know that we made a tremendous effort to try to keep him in Kansas City.”

Mahomes, as usual, complemented the skillset of Tyreek Hill because he knew what he meant for this Chiefs team and without him, they wouldn’t have achieved the success that they have had in recent years.

Patrick Mahomes said, “Tyreek, he’s such a tremendous player, he got what he deserved. I’m happy for him. And he’s at a place where he has a home and he’s closer to family and stuff. So I’m very happy for him. We had to move forward.”

Mahomes doesn’t have any worries regarding the team while heading into the future and said, “We had to move on and try to get as much as we could for him and try to build that receiving room again, And do it to where we have the ability to go out there and compete every single week, which I trust Brett Veach and coach Andy Reid will do.”

The Kansas City Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes and co. will look to perform well in the next season just like they have done in recent years as a new era in Kansas City is upon us.
