Many feel that when Dallas Cowboys do well, majority of the applause goes in the direction of Micah Parsons or Dak Prescott. However, when the same team viciously beat Minnesota Vikings in their Week 11 matchup, not many could take their eyes off Tony Pollard.
To those unaware, the win ensured that Tony Pollard was named as the NFC Offensive Player of the week. The running back had a career high 189 scrimmage yards, wherein 109 were receiving, 80 were rushing and even had two exemplary TouchDowns.
This resulted in die-hard fan, Skip Bayless giving a shoutout to Tony Pollard as he became only the fourth player since 1990 with at least 75 rushing yards, 100 receiving yards and 2 TouchDowns in a single game. He joined Joey Galloway, Todd Gurley and LaDainian Tomlinson.
Skip Bayless wrote in his tweet, “People are still sleeping on what a star Tony Pollard has become. That might include the Cowboy coaches.”
To those who are not aware, Bayless wrote this tweet when Pollard grabbed his first Offensive Player of the Week award.
This is no ordinary feet he has achieved as a Cowboys, he joined Emmitt Smith (10-time winner) and Ezekiel Elliott as the only running backs to win the award since 1990, who played for the Dallas Cowboys.
The 25-year-old also becomes the second Cowboys player to win a Player of the Week award this season – Micah Parsons won the defensive award in Week 5.
