Davante Adams is one of the best wide receivers in the game and this is one of the best moves that the Las Vegas Raiders could have made to help their quarterback Derek Carr who faces a tough challenge in the AFC WEST to make it to the playoffs next season.
Derek Carr and Davante Adams are very good friends for a long time and played together during their college careers. The chemistry is already there and together they can cause some serious damage to the opposition’s defense.
Adams’ future with the Green Bay Packers was uncertain as soon as the last season ended. The whole drama around Aaron Rodgers had taken a toll on everyone associated with the Green Bay Packers.
This move came as a shock for everyone around the world as nobody had thought that Davante will leave the Packers because Aaron Rodgers had already announced that he will be signing a new contract to stay with the Packers for furthermore years.
It will be interesting to see how Aaron Rodgers will react to this move as he and Adams were very close and Davante was the No. 1 WR in Green Bay.
This move has certainly strengthened the Las Vegas Raiders as they now have a very good attacking unit led by Derek Carr that can pile up on any defense in the league.
The Raiders are a part of the AFC WEST which most certainly is the toughest division in the league and a move like this increases their chances of making the playoffs.
However, it still won’t be easy for them because the likes of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Denver Broncos who are a part of the AFC WEST aren’t going anywhere which will make it a very interesting season for all these teams.
