Seattle Seahawks are looking to make a strong start in the 2022-23 season, but the road ahead surely has lined up major obstacles in front of them. Having caused an upset over the Denver Broncos in the opening week, it seems like Niners will have a tough time taking some decision ahead of their season opener against an in-form team. Their All-Pro tight end – George Kittle is on the verge to be side-lined after suffering a groin strain last week and missed the action against the Chicago Bears.
However, George Kittle isn’t the worry for the home team ahead of their Week 2 showdown. Their offensive lineman Deniel Brunskill continues to miss practices after suffering a setback with his hamstring injury previously as well. Moreover, the Niners even gave tackle Trent Williams – a veteran day off.
While the Seahawks are charged up to make their strong start count, Trey Lance, San Francisco 49ers could be risking their season early on with the likes of George Kittle, Trent Williams, Daniel Brunskill all being side-lined from the most recent practice session.
Given that after the defeat in the inaugural week, the Niners would not want to rush into any calls, their team isn’t ready to make any defensive call at this point. However, there was a sigh of relief provided by the general manager – John Lynch – addressing that George Kittle is ‘getting better’ as he is looking to make a strong comeback.
Moreover, John cited George Kittle’s importance to the offensive unit and even acknowledged that the team will likely take as much time as required before making any final call on his availability for the showdown against the Seattle Seahawks.
That being said, this spoken off encounter, being a divisional game hold lot of value. The San Francisco 48ers would obviously be looking to avoid a 0-2 start. Whereas the Seahawks have their morale high after causing an upset over Denver Broncos. Will the Niners be able to turn their fortune being led by Trey Lance on Sunday? Remains to be seen.
