Home » Sports News » Reports: NFL Players’ Association to pursue every legal option after the horrific injury suffered by Tua Tagovaiola against the Bengals

Tua Tagovailoa seems to have withstood the consequence of returning to the field just four days after suffering from a possible ‘concussion’ against Cincinnati Bengals. Having referred to it as back and neck injury, the marquee Quarterback was evidently disturbed after he took the initial knock. To make matters worse, Tua was guided off the field on a stretcher after he endured a hard hit on Thursday.

DeMaurice Smith, who is the executive director of NFLPA (National Football League’s Player Association) vowed to pursue all and every legal option to investigate a possible protocol violation concerning Miami Dolphins’ star Quarterback – Tua Tagovailoa.

However, after being ruled out of the game and taken out on a stretcher, Tua Tagovailoa was straight away sent to the Cincinnati Medical Center by an ambulance following his devastating fall in the second quarter.

Smith quoted as published by New York Post, “We insisted on these rules to avoid exactly this scenario. We will pursue every legal option, including making referrals against the doctors to licensing agencies and the team that is obligated to keep out players safe.”

To those who are not aware, DeMaurice Smith and NFLPA have already requested a separate review of the league’s concussion protocols four days prior to when Tua Tagovailoa suffered an injury against the Buffalo Bills.

That being said, Tua Tagovailoa was discharged from the hospital as well after a few hours and was reported to be traveling back with the entire team. After suffering from 2 back-to-back hits, Tua might not play in the Week 5 showdown for the Dolphins, and would likely to be replaced by Teddy Bridgewater.
