In a recent interview, former Bucs tight end Rob Gronkowski discussed the return of Tom Brady to football.
After last season’s conclusion, Tom Brady announced to the world that he would be retiring and that he would be spending more time with his family, but as expected, he returned to play football before free agency began.
Once again, Tom Brady will be a part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he won the Super Bowl in 2020, which was his first season with the team. As a consequence, he is always held to high expectations, and the Buccaneers enter this season as one of the favorites to win it all.
Among Brady’s close friends, one of the players who remain to return to the Buccaneers is Rob Gronkowski, who has yet to confirm whether or not he will return for another year.
Speaking about Brady’s return to football, Gronk said, “I was not surprised at all, I was actually surprised how quick it was, because I thought he was possibly going to take a year off or something like that and maybe come back after that. I believe he’ll have it until he’s at least 50 years old. I see his work ethic day in and day out, and it’s second to none.“
“I’m not ready to get back out on that field”- Rob Gronkowski
It is still unclear whether Rob Gronkowski will return to the Bucs because he has not yet made up his mind. Gronk is an important player for the Buccaneers, and his availability in the team might help them to make another run at the championship. Gronk is particularly familiar with the sorts of plays that Tom Brady dictates on the field.
Talking about his decision to whether or not to come back for the next season, Gronk said, “I knew if I started catching some passes that my head would have started turning, like, ‘Oh, crap, I got to get back out on the field.’ And, right now, I’m not ready to get back out on that field, I’m not ready to commit to the game of football right now.”
