Jonathan Owens made his first NFL interception during the Gameweek 17 fixture between the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers – Girlfriend Simone Biles reacts
‘Twas a memorable day for 26-year old Jonathan Owens. Featuring for the Houston Texans after being promoted to the active roster on the 4th of December, the safety made his first NFL interception and fumble recovery.
None could be more proud than his girlfriend Simone Biles. Highlighting Owens’ hard work paying off, the star gymnast shared a photo of herself embracing Owens, with the caption:
“I’m so proud of you, watching you get your first NFL interception & fumble recovery was a dream! all the hard work is paying off & this is just the beginning! I love you @jjowens_3 forever cheering loud and proud for #36.”
Owens signed for the Arizona Cardinals in 2018 – undrafted free agent. He never really featured in any of the big games. A year later, he was signed by the Texans, and has been a part of the roster ever since.
Houston Texans will look to avoid finishing last
The Houston Texans haven’t had a good season. With just 4 wins and 11 losses, they are reeling at the third position in the AFC South Table.
Behind them are the Jacksonville Jaguars with just 2 wins. With only two games left in the regular season, the Texans will be looking forward to getting one W and consolidating their 3rd place.
They take on the San Francisco 49ers next, on the 2nd of January, 2022. The game will take place at the Levi’s Stadium.
