Tom Brady has been at the very top of his game even after crossing the age of 40, he has undoubtedly been the epitome of hardwork and devotion in the NFL. Having won the Super Bowl for a record-7 times, Brady has given us all enough moments to reckon just why he is the NFL GOAT, day-in-day-out.
While Brady has inspired his New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers past majority of rivals almost single handedly in every season, there seems to be one team in particular who has got Brady’s number, since the time he has joined the latter team. That team is New Orleans Saints who have beaten Brady, Bucs 4 out of 4 times. On the contrary Brady’s record has been 25-5 against other team since he has joined the Bucs.
Many still feel that Tom Brady would’ve joined the Saints if it wasn’t for Drew Brees returning. Even Brady has acknowledged it before that turnovers are the primary reason why the Bucs haven’t been able to capitalize against the ‘physical’ Saints. What makes the matter worse is? The regular season games between the Saints and Tampa Bay haven’t even been close. The closest margin has been seven and of course everyone remembers the humiliating Brady faced in the 38-3 loss.
The Tamps Bay Buccaneers are coming off a strong victory against the Dallas Cowboys in their season opener, and surely have their morale high to tackle a strongly equipped team like New Orleans Saints. But the important question is whether the 45-year-old – To Brady stay on top of his game in this NFC South shown? Or will Winston, Taysom Hill and Alvin Kamara once again stamp their authority over this group?
Defense has been the standout in majority of the games Saints have won against Tom Brady’s Bucs. Moreover, this is the same contest where Brady has been sacked four-times, which was even a season-high for him. While he possesses great passing abilities, Saints have always locked Brady up. That is primarily because they aren’t afraid of Brady, one-bit.
Indeed, it is safe to say that no team has benefitted after triggering Tom Brady, will we once again witness his legendary, this time in the 2022-23 NFL Season? Remains to be seen.
