Smith wants the 31-year-old to show his real worth since Week 1.

“This is gonna be really interesting to see, especially with them charging, interesting to see Chargers charging at Derek Carr. You got him as a Top 10 Quarterback….congratulations to you RC. I’m not saying that you lying, but we been hearing a lot about Derek Carr, he’s a polished and first-class individual. He’s the face of a franchise and he does all the right things, he says all the right things on the football field. I mean he’s the ‘Choir’ boy of the football league.”
Fans need to understand that this is the first time in Derek Carr’s career that he is part of such a dynamic offense, which has all the required weapons to dismantle the opposition. With new HC, Josh McDaniels leading his proven system which has already got division accolades and championships, his scheme could be a huge reason for success or failure for Derek Carr.
Stephen A Smith concluded, “He does everythign right except on the football field, aprticularly in the postseason. He’s not a scrub, he can play and can very well be a Top 10 Quarterback but he hasn’t proven it just yet. I mean Damn! You gotta show up. Youre in the AFC West – Russell Wilson, Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes is your competition, Derek Carr might be your dude but his a** might be in the last place. That’s the situation. So I wanna see him, and it starts this weekend (against Justin Herbert).”
