CeeDee Lamb has been brought in by owner Jerry Jones with only one ambition to secure the Super Bowl.
With many still having problems about Amari Cooper not wearing the famous blue star on his helmet in the 2022-23 season, it seems like a 23-year-old wide receiver have huge shoes to fill into.
On one hand, where Amari’s departure has highlighted few weaknesses in the team, they possess some strengths as well. Which were rightly spotted by sports media personality, Skip Bayless. While Dallas; #4 is arguably the best quarterback in the division, the emergence of CeeDee Lamb as primary wide receiver is surely going to bring in some surprise results.
While Prescott’s health can be of great significance, Lamb’s explicit speed and passing ability can elaborate the championship-path of Mike McCathy’s men.
While Skip urged how CeeDee Lamb makes it into the Top 5 Wide Receivers, Sharpe surely did not share the same views.
In a heated discussion with Shannon Sharpe on Undisputed, America’s boldest analyst argued about his case and stated contradicting views (as always), “I am, his (Amari Cooper) presence stunted the growth of CeeDee Lamb. Clearly, they (Dallas Cowboys) got rid of him, they gave Amari away just to get him out from under both Dak and CeeDee Lamb. They are going to now force a new chemistry between Dak and CeeDee because they have no choice. There’s not going to be an Amari, opportunity here and there.
“Amari is not good as CeeDee Lamb, he’s not as explosive. CeeDee just recently turned 23 years of age and he is going to explode on the league this year.”
There is no shame in admitting that Dallas Cowboys have a relatively easy schedule for 2022-23 season. The combined record of the teams that Dallas will face this season from the previous season is 133-155-1. Given that the Cowboys have already played a huge gamble by acquiring a young talent, giving away three veterans in return, their plan seems clear, BRING IN YOUNG BLOOD.
That being said, being targeted 120 times in the last season, the former Oklahoma star caught onto 79 with an efficiency rate of 65.8%. Safe to say, if Lamb needs to silence his critics, he would desperately need to up his game. Will we see the First-Round pick from 2020 make a significant move? Remains to be seen.
