Tennessee Titans registered a hard-fought victory against the Green Bay Packers. Just as the celebrations for the former team were commencing, news broke out about the arrest of their offensive coordinator – Todd Downing.
Having framed an impressive strategy to utilise all of his players in the O-Line, Todd Downing was shockingly arrested for a DUI after the same win, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. This incident took place hours after his team beat Aaron Rodgers’ unit.
The 42-year-old was reportedly speeding, resulting in the arrest being officially confirmed through the Williamson County Sheriff. So, where was he arrested? As per the reports, Todd Downing was taken into custody at 4:39 A.M in the Nashville area.
Downing wasn’t always a part of the Tennessee Titans; he started out as an offensive quality control coach for the Minnesota Vikings. After which, he joined the Detroit Lions in 2012, becoming a Quarterback coach.
He became a part of the Titans franchise in 2019. Moreover, 2021 was the first year for Todd Downing for calling the plays for the same team. Interestingly, their offense ranked 15th in the NFL in points per game and 17th in total yards per game.
That being said, his offense has surely stumbled in the current season. With several marquee stars leaving, he has been at the focal points of plenty of criticism. Yet, time and again, his strategies have done wonders for the Tennessee Titans. That being said, an official word is still awaited on the update of this case, as Todd Downing is surely in some serious trouble.
