Dak Prescott has been side-lined ever since his team suffered a brutal loss in their 2022-23 season opener against the Tampa Bay buccaneers in Week 1. After a thumb injury ruled him out for 6-8 weeks, his backup QB – Cooper Rush went onto lead the team to 4 consecutive victories.
Things only went wrong for the Dallas Cowboys until they faced the resilient Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday and lost 26-17, which was Cooper Rush’s first loss as a starter in the 2022-23 season. However, as the voids of the Cowboys were evident, football fans in Dallas were excited to know about the potential return of their star Dak Prescott.
With Eagles showcasing just what the Cowboys have been missing, Dak Prescott was quick to reveal his plan of returning in Week 7 vs the Detroit Lions, as per ESPN. Having already returned to practices, wherein he was seen practicing his throws and warming his arms up, Prescott’s return would come in the most crunch time for his team.
While Prescott is keen on returning sooner rather than later, the updates on his return haven’t been all positive. Given that the team are assessing health and condition of their #1 Quarterback, Dak hasn’t been able to practice for the entire session till now.
The Dallas Cowboys are currently 3rd in the NFC East. This loss against their divisional rivals could be huge as they now trail the New York Giants as well by a loss. With the race being tight, Dak Prescott’s return is just what is required by the Dallas Cowboys. What drama awaits as we look forward for Week 7 action between Lions vs Cowboys? Remains to be seen.
