The Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins showdown was a close encounter with the latter team emerging victorious by just 2 points. Although the Bills had one last chance of tying the game after Thomas Morstead’s punt was deflected in the end zone. Stephen A Smith feels there is no one else to blame that the losing team themselves for this heartbreaking loss.
While the likes of Josh Allen shined up usual for the Buffalo Bills, the team could not play with the same pace and ferociousness in the latter quarters. Not only were the Miami Dolphins able to score consistently but they kept the Buffalo Bills’ offense at bay as well.
Stephen A Smith quoted on the latest episode of Get Up, “Shouldn’t take the credit away from Miami Dolphins, who have been in a better form than what they have been in the past. They had a guy like Tyreek Hill with just 2 receptions for 33 yards on the day and yet they managed to win the game. We gotta give them the credit, don’t get me wrong.”
Stephen A Smith gets brutally honest on latest Buffalo Bills’ loss
There are no doubts the Bills’ defense played a decent game, but the problem was their lack of offensive strategies. Lack of depth in the secondary reared, courtesy to Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer’s absence saw them emerging second-best on various 50-50 plays.
Smith added, “But in the same breath – this is not the Buffalo Bills that we expect to see. We know what kinda throws Josh Allen is capable of making, but he wasn’t able to find guys on his right. If you look at Buffalo Bills, they were a comedy of errors, particularly on the offensive side of the wall. This is not the Buffalo Bills that you expect to see…clearly the Bills beat themselves up,”
That being said, Smith does hold a valid point. Buffalo Bills did control the proceedings of this game until the fourth quarter. But a field goal missed by Tyler Bass not only brought the Miami Dolphins back in the game, also ensured the momentum swinging in their favor.
