“They are going to have a new quarterback next year” – Stephen A. Smith believes the New York Giants will not continue with Daniel Jones after this season

Although New York Giants have made an impressive 2-0 start in the 2022-23 NFL Season, there have been clear loopholes on either end of their line. In particular, even when the Giants have secured a couple of wins, Quarterback – Daniel Jones hasn’t pleased all. Surely not, Stephen A. Smith.

Daniel Jones

To talk about his stats of the particular season – Daniel Jones has been decent with his passing rate of 70.9%, accompanied by 99.4% Quarterback rating. However, the downside to his game has been his 364 yards passing and consecutive weeks of slow starts in the first half before doing just enough for his team to finish across the ‘W’ line.

Stephen A. Smith believes New York Giants’ 2-0 record has just been a hoax, and that this spoken of team direly needs a more attacking, accurate, agile and spontaneous.

Stephen A Smith sounds off Quarterback Daniel Jones

Smith quoted on First Take’s latest episode, “The bottom line is he’s (Daniel Jones) been relatively pedestrian. They (New York Giants) have the second worst passing attack in football at the particular moment in time.

“Brian Daboll, I like him. But I promise you, they are going to have a new Quarterback next year. They might even have a new Quarterback this season. Daniel Jones better get his act together; he’s going to lose his job.”

That being said, the Giants already decided against exercising his fifth-year option on his rookie contract. There will be more options in front of them once they enter the offseason next year-round. The bottom line is that this team has won games. Which is the goal after all. But if we talk about Daniel Jones, there are no doubts he needs to put in more productivity to channelize the team’s management’s attention towards him.
